If you do, you'll experience some of the tastiest, most flavorful cuisines in the world!
Seafood, unusual fish, mussels, crab meat, snake crab, eel and sea urchin are among the favorites. Coconut dishes, including coconut crab, duck in coconut milk, coconut mutton and coconut chicken are also unique to Hainan and widely available throughout the island.
Whatever cuisine you decide to try, the dining experience in Hainan is just that: an experience. And there is no better example of the variety and fun than famous "Fish Street" in the Dadonghai area. Roof top tables with beautiful veiws of the sea and live musicians seranding you while your food is being prepared, adds to the amazing ambience. Now that's fun!

Hainan is famous for its meat and fish dishes. You will definitely enjoy the variety including Jaiji Duck pictured on the left. It is tender and usually served in a delicious sauce. Also pictured above is GrilledRred Fish, a local favorite found in many restaurants. You will often be able to select your fish directly from a fish tank, which makes it even more fun!

Dongshan Lamb is one of Hainan's most famous dishes and originates from the black lamb, native to Dongshan Mountain, Wanning City on the east side of the island. The Dongshan lamb eats camellia and orchids, as well as the mountain's tender Zhegu tea leaves, which makes the meat very aromatic and delicious! |
