Hi there. My name is Shelly Pepler and I have greatly enjoyed bringing you my 2005 Hainan Island Travel Guide. This recent picture of me was taken in a Masai Mari village in Kenya (that’s me in the background!). What a wonderful and memorable trip that was!

As you can probably tell, I love to travel and learn all about the exciting cultures of our world. To date, I have visited over 35 countries, and hope to visit many more. When I am not traveling or writing travel books, my full time job as an elementary school principal in Canada keeps me very busy!

Here’s hoping our paths will cross one day. In the meantime, I encourage you to do all you can to protect our fragile world and its many wonderful plant and animal species. Together, we can make a difference!
